This resource is used for writing alternative endings to the story ‘Arthur and the Golden Rope’.

Students should use these facts from previous parts of the story - in order to create their own ending that ‘fits’. Consider modelling the process in a shared write first. The alternative ending should begin after page 47 of the story, when Arthur ‘jumped up, ready to bash the wolf on its nose’.

They can also use the provided example as an inspiration for what could have happened.

Suitable for KS2/Upper Elementary.
