Mount Conner (Attila) is discussed as a remnant of a dissected sedimentary plateau eroded in time. Its linkage with processes forming nearby Uluru are mentioned and the differences in shape are recognised by the angular sedimentary strata in Uluru compared to the flat lying strata at Mount Conner. Photos from the arid zones of SW USA are included to indicate the range of landforms that can occur when sedimentary plateaux are dissected by erosion and changed over time. This study is the 3rd in the series "Australian landforms". Photographs and a diagram are used to emphasis structure and shape.
