Produced to meet the Y5 NC objective "multiply proper fractions and mixed numbers by whole numbers, supported by materials and diagrams". There is only one level of challenge included, and the questions are quite tricky, so this is probably one for the highers.
Many thanks to TES user alutwyche for the idea - I have simply taken and modified his original (free) resource to include questions for this objective.
Included are the answers to the joke ("Why does Mr Mushroom have so many friends? Because he's a fungi to know") as well as a 'marking station' sheet so children can check their own work as they go along, or answers can be shown at the end of the lesson for self-marking.
