This very thorough documentary really gets into the post-war period, investigating how the USA invested in various foreign aid programs. The video addresses: context (the Marshall Plan); motivation; Truman’s inaugural speech; the Technical Assistance Group, the Technical Cooperation Administration, Point Four and the developing world, dissent; lack of US private investment; Korean War and Mutual Security Act “imperialism”, Foreign Operations Administration, International Cooperation Administration, United States Agency for International Development.

17 questions for the c. 15-minute film. (My link omits commercial message at the beginning). Differentiated! Both versions look very similar, but “B” version has subtle clues. Good subtitles: scripted, not auto-generated. Questions right up to the end, no slack time! Creates a great intro / revision / summary resource. Answer sheet. Very easy to mark. .doc & .pdf for all files.
