Crime Unit - 18 Lessons (Year 7)

This 18-lesson crime unit is targeted at Year 7 and covers Ruthless, The Speckled Band, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Landlady, Lamb to the Slaughter, Three is a Lucky Number and Wish You Were Here. It combines reading and writing skills. There is a lot of content here, so you can expect to go over 18 lessons if you complete everything here.

This is an overview of the lessons included:

1 = Introduction to crime genre and Ruthless short story
2 = Sherlock introduction
3-5 = The Speckled Band and comprehension activities
6-8 = The Tell-Tale Heart and writing as an insane character
9-10 = The Landlady and various activities
11-14 = Lamb to the Slaughter and a test writing from Mary’s POV
15 = Three is a Lucky Number and creative writing
16-17 = Wish You Were Here and creative writing
18 = Fun murder mystery group work
