Early learning | Literacy | #nurseryrhymes

With a focus on hearing language in order to develop speaking and listening and linking to all areas of the #EYFS curriculum

Rhymes and their content
Can be used every day
To bring learning to life
In so many ways

The Wizzy’s Words audiograms 1 and 2 are samplers from the audiobook. The rhymes are narrated by a professional actor. The narration is accompanied by sound effects rather than music to ensure that the key oral vocabulary being presented can be heard clearly. Once the children are familiar with the rhymes adding actions and untuned instruments will add to the children’s enjoyment and rhythm perception.

HEARING RHYMES IS KEY TO DEVELOPING A SENSE OF RHYTHM PERCEPTION & RHYTHM PERCEPTION IS A KEY INDICATOR FOR SUCCESSFUL ONGOING LEARNING

Nursery rhymes are universally validated as ideal, first, early learning resources. Use every day and make them increasingly challenging to promote infant development, communication, language, literacy & knowledge & understanding across all of the domains of child development & early learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage
