This activity is suitable for OCR, AQA and Edexcel exam boards, plus any other Post-16 A Level Physics course.

There are 24 problems based around equations of motion with constant acceleration (so-called SUVAT equations). The activity is designed to give students ownership of the level at which they are working. The 24 problems are split into six different sections, with each section getting progressively harder and consequently worth more marks.

Students are challenged to complete a total of 30 marks of their choice (no part questions allowed). This means a minimum of five problems for the most able up to a maximum of 12 problems for those students who choose the easiest problems.

The sections are designed so that students would have to select problems from a minimum of three different sections.

The sections are as follows:
A - two marks each, no rearranging.
B - three marks each, rearranging required.
C-E- four to six marks each, multiple equations and/or parts.
F - seven marks each, simultaneous equations required.

Answers are included.
