These are resources for a fabric finishes lesson orginally for year 12 but could be used with KS4. PPT about finishes and activity cards print and cut up. Discuss the 3 types of finishes and then get pupils to classify the finishes cards under the three categories- works well in groups. These are versatile when used with the garment images. Pupils can match up the finishes cards with the products they could be used on or get pupils to identify which finishes are used for what reason, eg. safety, aesthetic, comfort, durability and so on.

I teach textile processing in Japan. Your PPT was helpful for teaching in English. Thank you.

A comprehensive lesson with a PowerPoint and a support sorting activity. Very clear and well set out with nice images and good sized font. Detailed content that is informative but accessible for KS4 pupils. Nice resource.
