Two activities I made for my low ability year 7 group who are practising non-calculator methods for addition and subtraction. Instead of just giving them sums to do, I made an Olympic themed codebreaker, and a cross number instead.

Great ideas, thank you - and an element of additional interest for the children.
Nice resource... but "sums?" a sum is an addition. A subtraction can not be described as a sum. At least not in the classroom.
