This product will save you the hassle of creating a Great White Shark reading comprehension and writing unit of work!

Designed to assist students in year 5 prepare for:

  • analyzing feature article reading passages
  • answering comprehension questions
  • completing written assessments

It has multiple uses and could be a practice run of assessment, an alternative assessment for a composite class, an end-of-term or year revision activity or a stand-alone** ‘Cold & Annotated Read’** activity where a teacher guides students through identifying vocabulary, text and language features with a pencil and highlighters.

For greater depth, teachers can guide students to identify/define unknown words and discuss what evidence they can note that enables students to distinguish the main idea and the author’s purpose.
