A simple PowerPoint presentation that asks students to work in groups. The exercise takes a “home group” and “expert group” approach to detailing the events of a given year in World War I. Students gather research based on video clips and print resources, all of which are listed on the presentation slides. The lesson then moves on to a class discussion based on the “Lions led by donkeys” article. Originally used with an IB Year 1 class, it could be adapted to suit other grade levels and curricula.
