A one lesson PowerPoint presentation that begins with students watching a YouTube clip and making notes on the details of the Reinsurance Treaty and the Triple Alliance. Students are then asked to write a maximum 500 word “feasability study” to determine the extent to which Germany could honor two contradictory treaties. Originally used with a mixed HL/SL class where only one period per week is devoted to HL material.
