This assembly gives a brief look at the origins of International Women’s Day and a brief look at

  • its origins
  • the reasons for the day
  • what women were battling for
  • some quotes to make us think.

It is suitable for Upper Primary age children, but could be used with the whole school if the wording and concepts were adapted.
