This is an introductory lesson, in a series of four, that teaches complete beginners the basic features of Microsoft Excel with multiple short and easy to follow tasks based on using formatting tools like Fill Color, Borders, Numbers and Alignment, to name a few. It is followed by similarly structured lessons on how to use formulas, then one on functions and finally one on charts and graphs. There is also an assessment for a fifth lesson with a mark scheme. The lessons are wonderfully practical, well-paced and easy to follow for all abilities. Each task should take about 5 minutes with the challenge task at the end bringing together all the skills the students have been practicing during the session. It really does build confidence in a fun and relaxed way and I hope you find it as useful as I have.
