A 6 week module covering an introduction to monarchy and parliament for Key Stage One complete with assignments and assessment. Covering the Magna Carta, John I, Simon de Montefort, symbols of monarchy, Oliver Cromwell and Charles I.

A National Curriculum objective linked module with prior learning recaps, links to future learning and exploration of topic related vocabulary. Based off the Primary Knowledge Curriculum, this module is knowledge rich and allows children to develop their understanding of monarchy and parliament in an engaging way.

All lessons are linked and reinforce prior learning allowing children to embed the knowledge in their long term memory. Easy to link to external enrichment opportunities such as The Royal Banqueting House or The Royal Mews.
