We are ExcitEd to share an English reading comprehension lesson aimed at children in UKS2.

The focus of the lesson is Bastille Day and the start of the French Revolution. A great topical resource for the summer term, but of interest all year round.

The lesson plan includes a script for an interactive role-play session where the teacher takes the role of the narrator. This is immersive and engaging reenactment is followed by an English reading comprehension activity, which can be printed as a neat booklet. Questions are differentiated and extension tasks also suggested.

We bring you effective, teacher made, fun and creative resources for use in primary schools linked to the English National Curriculum.
