I designed this Maths trail as part of a drive by myself and @MissWillisMaths to finally get some progress out of a couple of lower ability Year 9 classes we had.

It was designed to cover Levels 4 to 6 but I have renamed Level 4 - Level A, Level 5 - Level B and Level 6 - Level C so it could just as easily be used for any year.

Simply put the Maths trail posters round the room. Students start on the Level which they have been given by their teacher. They can start at any card. They then answer the problem for their level and, having done this, search for the answer at the top of another card.

It is important that they record their answers in order as they move round the room (ideally on the answer sheet provided).

If they have done it correctly they should manage a full circuit using all the questions.

Feedback would be very welcome @MrsHsNumeracy

Brilliant resource - excellent for a cover lesson so that students can just switch to the easier question if they get stuck. Thank you for sharing this!

Like the three levels and the broad scope of the questions. Will give this to my bottom set Year 9's for the dreaded P5 lesson on Friday as revision before their test.
