Left wing and Right wing in politics and the media

This resource was designed to introduce the ideas of left/right wing to students at KS3/4 who have heard the terms but don’t really know what they mean. I have used it to provide context for students studying a range of subjects and also used it in tutor/pastoral sessions. It is designed to be impartial, allowing students to discuss what they learn without judgement. Especially useful for students studying English or other humanities.

It was originally designed to run over 3-4 lessons but as a lot of the slides can generate discussion you could easily pick and choose and make it fit what time you’ve got.
