Delivered to you in partnership with Into Film and Fox Searchlight Pictures, we are delighted to launch the Malala Youth Voice programme; a new and free set of cross-curricular resources for students aged 13 to 19.

Malala Youth Voice celebrates the exciting cinema release of the film, He Named Me Malala to bring PSHE/citizenship/English/media studies to life for students. The resources will help you to engage students in human rights issues and give them the confidence and tools to contribute to positive change in their school and wider community.

The programme includes an exciting short filmmaking competition, supported by a student toolkit, which can be downloaded here. For the full resource, including teachers notes, curriculum links, assembly and lesson plans with supporting PowerPoints, click here: http://www.nationalschoolspartnership.com/malalaresources.php

This is a well conceived resource from the successor to Film Education. It's got targeted learning for PSE especially, and I can see ways to incorporate this. It also has real potential for study as a Media product, in terms though more of its promotion, marketing and distribution than the film per se.
