This is Study 2 in of the environment along the East Coast of Malaya. It examines the adaptations of mangroves to the inter tidal water conditions in an estuary. It links with Study 4 which identifies the environmental advantage of this coastal area to fishing activity. It also links with Study 5 which shows change and impact of more recent demands for change in human use of land.
