Making and partitioning teen numbers (two days).

Children develop fluency in reading and writing numbers to 20. They see ‘teens’ numbers on a 100 string as a group of ten in one colour and the rest in another colour. They make ‘teens’ numbers by combining ten cubes with fewer than ten cubes. They then partition ‘teens’ numbers in to 10 and the rest.
