On the English months, Chinese flowers mark the Chinese seasons:
Spring: March, April, May – yellow orchid
Summer: June July, August – pink lotus
Autumn: Sept, Oct, Nov – orange chrysanthemum
Winter: Dec, Jan, Feb – white plum blossom
