My Teeth Lesson (for SEND or young children)

Lesson Objectives:
* To know we have different types of teeth, and what they are used for.
* To know why it is important we look after our teeth.
* To know how we look after our teeth.

This lesson was for a Year 5/6 class of SEND children. The resources to download are:

* Teeth PowerPoint - this introduces the different types of teeth and their function (includes suggestions for educational video-clips to watch). The latter part of the presentation is a multiple-choice quiz to test the pupils' knowledge at the end of the lesson.

* My Teeth worksheet - pupils used mirrors to investigate how many of each teeth type they had, and recorded their answers on the sheet. They also labelled the teeth on the diagram.

* Teeth brushing instructions - these are jumbled up instructions for teeth brushing. Pupils re-arranged the instructions in chronological order, and then brushed their teeth in small groups to practise what they learnt!
