This is a writing lesson where students will begin by recalling key events from Katherine Johnson’s life. They will need to recall the relative clauses they learnt last lesson too.
At NASA Headquarters students will be tasked to write a biography based on Katherine. They will read through notes on how to write a biography. When proofreading please encourage students to attempt everything on the list, if they haven’t go back and change it. Hence leave some extra time at the end for proof reading and changing, if necessary.
This is a fun and engaging way to teach students, this is part 4 of a bundle. Students will enjoy going to NASA and writing a biography as well as play games and enjoy the animations on the slides. There is one powerpoint and a worksheet for this lesson.
