An extract from 'Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China' ('At School in China' - 21st century source) and 'The Ragged School Movement' (19th century extract) used as the sources for Paper 2, Section A (Questions 1, 2, 3 and 4) of the NEW GCSE in English Language specification with AQA. Included is the extracts, formatted to replicate the inserts found in the new GCSE examination, alongside detailed PowerPoint lessons including model paragraphs/responses, examination information, mark schemes and skills descriptors, as well as opportunities for peer and self assessment. Targeted at students aiming for grades 5-9, but can be easily adapted for lower-ability students.
