Sergio's Restaurant - GCSE Python Tasks

Themed Python tasks about a fictional Italian restaurant named Sergio’s.

Aimed at GCSE (Year 10 and 11) students studying Computer Science. Knowledge required includes inputs, for loops, while loops, calculations, file handling and operators (modulo division and integer division).

This resource also contains a printable version of the tasks (two pages on a blank background so you can select 2 ‘pages per sheet’ and print two copies per A4) as well as answers.

The ‘starters’ tasks are shorter and the ‘mains’ are longer. The prices (e.g. £4.75 for the ‘total cost’ task) denote relative difficulty - cheaper tasks are easier.

Possible uses:

• Get students to choose one starter and one main.
• Give students a time limit to complete £20 worth of tasks.
• Extension: Can they think of another restaurant themed task as a ‘Dessert’ task for their peers to attempt?
