An engaging series of lessons (2-3 lessons) to accompany the reading of Act 4 Scene 1 of Macbeth. Using engaging videos and MP3 recordings (included) of different adaptations of this crucial scene to ensure pupils are exposed to the wide range of interpretations whilst reading the script.

Reading focusses ensure a purposeful viewing/reading which are structured in line with NEW GCSE assessment objectives and skills to ensure pupils are developing their GCSE Literature skills throughout and are able to reflect on each, AO1 -3, effectively. Following group and class discussion of each reading focus, model responses are used to clarify and extend pupils understanding of Shakespeare's ideas, methods and contextual influences.

Additionally, an extension is included allowing pupils to explore an alternative interpretation/performance of Macbeth which uses dance methods to explore the play.
