This product allows students to explore pulleys using PHET simulation. The goal for the exploration is for students to observe a) relationships between the number of pulleys and the effort force required b) the effort force required and the length of rope pulled. By observing and making their own conclusions, students understanding of how pulleys work is deepen. I have included a clear teacher instructions and answer keys as guides.

In a 2nd activity, (use only after teaching IMA and AMA), students discuss and solve 3 levels of questions in a gallery-walk style. Questions are printed and pasted around the class and students visit each question and solve them. This fun active style of learning encourages collaboration and peer support. I have included the answer keys to the questions as well.
