Substitution Spiders Starter

Very helpful, but challenging for the lower attaining... the starting point is already somewhat challenging

This is a nice activity for students to consolidate their understanding of substitution. As explained students have to work out the value of the expression on each leg of the spider. This is probably more suited to lower ability KS3 and would be a good activity to do at Halloween! You could use this at any stage of a lesson and could easily display it on the IWB to save on copying. Thank you for sharing.
