A great stand-alone lesson, which can be used to help students understand gender roles in Shakespeare plays, plus the concepts of subverting gender roles and patriarchy.

It includes small group and class discussion, relating the concepts to modern day (Pink and Harry Styles are used) and can promote great discussion on the inequality of women in sport.

This is a great prequel to Macbeth, with a written task at the end of the lesson.
