This resource is an eleven page PDF document with activities to do based on the book That Bird Has Arms! by Kate and Jol Temple, Niharika Hukku and Ronojoy Ghosh. This document contains eight worksheets for students.

The activities allow the students to reflect on the story and extend their understanding of the themes within this text. There are comprehension questions, vocabulary activities (comparatives and superlatives, compound words, adjectives, adverbs and contractions) plus a making connections task and a categorising activity. There is also an antonym puzzle and a teacher answer sheet is provided for the puzzle.

There is a double-up of one worksheet. It is provided with colour pictures and also in a black and white version for teachers who may not wish to print in colour.

This book has been shortlisted for the 2024 CBCA Book of the Year - Picture Book of the Year category.
