A free classroom countdown timer with a floating-window option, a 30-second sound warning and an alarm when time is up.

What it does

• Set minutes and seconds or choose 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes.
• Start, pause, resume, reset or add one minute.
• Adjust the colour and sound volume.
• Keep the countdown visible during classroom activities using a compatible floating window.

How to use it
Download and extract the ZIP, then open the HTML file in a desktop browser. The timer works locally without an internet connection or an additional account. Floating mode requires a compatible desktop Chrome or Edge browser and may be disabled by school settings. Keep the original tab open. If floating mode is unavailable, use the timer in its original tab.

Suitable for starters, independent work, group tasks, transitions and timed practice across subjects.

Suitable for teacher-led use with learners of any age.
