Suited to the NC2014, week two of instruction writing for Year 3. Tried and tested with my own class completed in 2 double (whole morning) lessons and one daily slot (1hr). Can be adapted to suit smaller daily lessons. Links to key text 'Beware of Boys' before children produce an independent, assessed piece of writing during the last session (link to Stone Age topic).
