GCSE Spanish - Reading Exam Questions - School and Future Plans - Higher Tier - All Exam Boards

GCSE Spanish - Reading Exam Questions - School and Future Plans - Higher Tier - All Exam Boards

Get students used to the reading exam through these past-paper questions. Grouped by theme (School and Future Plans) but all higher tier, this resource can be printed as an exam pack, perhaps for the school holidays or as a long-term homework assignment; or printed as individual sheets to be used in class as starters, plenaries, or mini-assessments. All exam boards have been sampled, but all are relevant to the School and Future Plans theme. Also included is a mark scheme, designed to be printed as an A5 booklet. This allows either peer or self-assessment, or the work to be used by cover teachers who may not be subject specialists.

Escuchar video "No nos vamos, nos echan" (Jóvenes de hoy- New A Level)

Escuchar video "No nos vamos, nos echan" (Jóvenes de hoy- New A Level)

This is a listening/reading activity where students watch a cutting-edge insightful video on young people who have left Spain due to unemployment. Students work on to the transcript to answer questions INTERPRETING what they have seen/heard. It helps students to gain cultural depth, as well as develop their analytical skills. I used it as an introduction to the topic, and students worked in pairs. There is also a website with the same title which I found really interesting. Good for extension reading after the exercise. Enjoy! Blanca

Viva GCSE - Module 7 - Mis practicas laborales - Lesson 2

Viva GCSE - Module 7 - Mis practicas laborales - Lesson 2

This lesson follows on from Lesson 1 (where students explored and worked with the key phrases and vocabulary from Unit 2) and allows students to revise when to use the Preterite and Imperfect tenses. Students will then complete a written answer to a GCSE Speaking Exam question using differentiated prompts to guide them in to creating the best possible outcomes. Students can then peer/self-assess their work using the 'Grade 9 Ready' sheet before improving their work.

Viva GCSE - Module 7 - Mis practicas laborales - Lesson 1

Viva GCSE - Module 7 - Mis practicas laborales - Lesson 1

This lesson allows students to use the topic phrases and vocabulary to complete differentiated activities based on a Reading text to demonstrate students to work at/towards their Target Grades. They will then complete a Listening activity. I must point out here that the Grade Criteria/Descriptors I have used is specific to my school but this can easily be replaced (copy/paste) by the specific Grade Criteria/Descriptors you happen to use. Students can then attempt a spontaneous Photo Card Speaking activity which I have created for the work covered in this Unit whereby they can prepare for 10 minutes (ish) and then practise the questions and answers in pairs. I think it is important to practise the Speaking Exam skills at every opportunity!
