#### Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Revision Game

This game can be used for all subjects and for all abilities. There are brief explanations on how to change things to match your subject in the notes page on the first two slides. All you need to do is write in your questions and answers and it will do the rest. I have titled “correct answer” on each question enry so if you click it it will move you up the money board. Click an incorrect one and it will tell you it’s wrong and you lose. Classes I have used this with have really enjoyed it and it has prompted whole class discussion.

I have put together a predicted foundation paper 2 for the OCR spec (non calc), it is focused on topics which have not been tested on paper 1 and i have tried to use similar style of questions to recent OCR specimen and the last 2 exam papers. There is a mark scheme which i have quickly put together, this is not detailed (a quick guide!) Please note the predicted paper is just a best guess and it is not 100% that the content on it will turn up. The bulk of the content has been adapted and nothing is copied exactly from any specific paper or resource. This may be used as a useful revision activity! Hope it is of good use, leave a comment. Sorry for any silly errors in advance! I have spotted one myself: question 18 to find P 3 x 3 x 3 x 2 x 7 =378 ops!

This is a great problem solving activity for groups to work through in small groups to plan the fixtures for the 2018 World Cup. It is great for engaging boys who maybe struggle to become integrated in group work and problem solving activities. When I used this in a class we spent 90 mins planning and the another hour in the computer lab producing a document and posters for the World Cup.

#### Logic & problem-solving saves wise man

An evil Emperor kidnapped the wisest man in the kingdom and said he was to be put to death. His family pleaded for his life, so the Emperor decided to have some evil fun and give the wise man a chance. The wise man is given 12 pills; 11 are poison and one is safe. The pills are identical except the safe one has a slightly differently weight. He is also given a balance on which he can weigh them. He can only make 3 weighings then he has to take one of the pills. Designed for G&amp;T years 9/10 this calls on all their logic and problem-solving skills. Ideally placed for collaborative working, where trial-and-error tests their ability to be wrong and yet try again. From a teaching perspective this is a real, practical, maths task, where the use of props such as Smarties or Tic-Tacs makes it more realistic than the static pencil and paper - or if you have access to some sort of ‘pod’, like those inside Kinder eggs, it’s very simple to make one slightly heavier than the rest to really bring it to life.
