Banter or Bullying Assembly

Banter or Bullying Assembly

This assembly looks at the ideas of banter and bullying, and focuses on how banter can also be bullying. The assembly looks at different behaviours, how banter via social media is wrong and how behaviour is viewed by others. The assembly poses some reflective questions for students where the person delivering can make it clear that any form of hurtful banter is wrong.

Supply Teacher Folder

Supply Teacher Folder

Whenever a teacher needs a day off for sickness or a course, it can sometimes feel like more work to not be in school than it is to be in it. I created this document to make leaving my class with a supply teacher easier for all involved. I know how hard supply teachers work and I know how hard it is to walk into a class and not know the children or the timetable. This folder allows you to keep all the crucial information that a supply teacher needs to know about your class. Just edit the document and include everything that a supply teacher could need to know, print it off, put it in a folder and leave it on your desk! I’ve included a supply teacher feedback form in the download so you can be easily updated on how the day went, who behaved, messages you missed etc

Bucket Filler 20 minute class assembly about kindness and caring based on the book by Carol McCloud

Bucket Filler 20 minute class assembly about kindness and caring based on the book by Carol McCloud

Did you know that everyone carries an invisible bucket that can be filled by doing kind things? This 20 minute assembly is based on the book ‘have you filled a bucket today?’ by Carol McCloud (an amazing book that I would recommend to any teacher). There are enough short speaking parts for a class of 30+ and the script is fully editable. Your children will introduce the concept of bucket filling and dipping to their audience. Through short drama pieces, they will demonstrate the benefits of bucket filling and the negative impact of bucket dipping. So, ask yourself, have you filled a bucket today?

They Walk Amongst Us

They Walk Amongst Us

After the horrific events in Parkland Florida I am encouraging everyone to download this FREE resource that explains why we have to take a tougher stance when disciplining children and stop soft peddling when it comes down to consequences. Political correctness needs to be looked at closely in relationship to students and adults who because of their digital footprint have proven that they are a danger to society.
