Eduqas GCSE Media Studies (9-1) 2-year course structure

Eduqas GCSE Media Studies (9-1) 2-year course structure

(1)
This innovative 2 year course structure approaches the content of the Educas 9-1 GCSE Media Studies specification in a thematic and conceptual way, rather than the method employed by the Eduqas examples or many others made by teachers which structure half-termly teaching and learning by exam component. Each set text from the Eduqas spec is referred to in detail 5-6 times throughout our course structure, instead of in just one half term like many other approaches. This thematic, conceptual approach and 'little and often' way of teaching ensures students gain transferable skills and a deeper understanding of the theoretical framework that they can apply to all set texts, rather than relying on rote learning of facts and analysis pertaining to each on an individual basis (as has the potential to happen by following the other course structures mentioned above). Individual lessons, resources and SoW bundles relating to the innovative 987media approach are being added to TES all the time and are available from our shop. 987media resources are clear, consistent and scaffolded to give learners the best opportunity to achieve highly in their GCSE Media Studies course.
