Welcome the New Year in 2024 with this fun, foldout activity for kids. Designed for younger children who may struggle with the concept of ‘goals’, this printable encourages them to think about what they want to ‘try’, ‘learn’, and ‘get better at’ during the coming year. Get to know your pupils with these fun ‘all about me’ foldable activities. Each one is designed to be coloured, completed with words and pictures, cut, and folded. No glue required! Once folded, bring the 2 halves together to show the main images, and pull apart to reveal what’s inside! Each resource has UK and US versions. There are 4 sets in this bundle: Self-portrait foldables Children can pick the design that best matches their hairstyle. They then draw eyes, eyebrows, skin/hair colour, and lips, creating a self-portrait! The inside prompts them to add some information about themselves - name, age, favourite colours, something that makes them smile, and something they are good at. Space theme foldable activity In this set, each foldable displays a different letter so that students can complete one that matches the first letter of their name. The inner sections of the foldable have meaningful questions on an outer space theme as follows: -Captain… (children insert their name here) -Age -Things I love to the moon and back -I’m a star at… (for children to tell you what they are good at) -My mission is to get better at… (for children to let you know areas that they might need extra help and support). Dinosaur themed foldable activity There are 26 templates, each with a different scaly letter of the alphabet so students can use the template which displays the first letter of their name! Self-portrait (space to draw their features on the blank face). My dinosaur name (students add their first name in the space to create a dino name). Age. All about me self portrait style foldable activity for back to school

US and UK versions included Get to know your pupils with this all about me foldable activity. Ideal for the start of a new school year or for a myself/ourselves/Me topic. You could use these in the classroom for a back to school activity, or send home for pupils to complete as a transition activity over the summer. There are 15 templates so children can pick one that best matches their hair style. They then draw eyes, eyebrows, skin/hair colour and lips, creating a self portrait! Templates are also included with a straight edge around the face for younger/less confident cutters. The inside prompts them to add some information about themselves - name, age, favourite colours, something that makes them smile and something they are good at. Finally, they can cut out the design, and fold (instructions are included for this). Bring the 2 sides of the face together, then gently pull apart to reveal the inside (like a concertina). Minimal prep is needed - just print templates onto A4 card and have coloured pencils in skin/hair/eye tones and scissors available. Glue/tape are not required. These fun accordion foldable activities are a lovely addition to interactive science notebooks and support learning around spring, seasonal changes and life cycles. They are a cross between a worksheet and a craft activity! This resource is a bundle of 4 life cycle template sets - frog, bean, daffodil and chicken. Each foldout breaks down the life cycle into 4 or 6 parts. There are options to simply colour the template, cut out and fold (and insert into a notebook if required). Alternatively, there is also an option to add a step of ordering the life cycle stages and gluing them onto the template. Pupils could complete a foldout, then research the animal/plant they have chosen to find out more about the stages of its life cycle (e.g. the length of each stage).
