These are fantastic resources to support the teaching of adjectives. Included are seven activities which can be implemented as whole class activities or set up as rotations or activities for review. Choose the Adjective Students choose the appropriate adjective from the word bank to describe the nouns in the images. Find the Adjectives Students underline the adjectives within the sentences. The sentences in the first box have one adjective to find and the sentences in the second box have two adjectives to find per sentence. Answer sheet included. Add the Adjective Students add adjectives to the blanks in the sentences to describe the nouns. Character Description Students choose adjectives to describe the monster in the image. They then use their adjectives to write sentences about the monster. Using Adjectives Using a foldable, students think of a nouns that can be described by the adjective on the reverse side of the petal. Adjective Sort Students sort the adjectives into the correct category. They write the adjectives in the correct column of the table. Answers included. UK and US spelling versions included (for word colour/color). Setting Description Each sheet contains an image of a setting (underwater, beach, forest, winter street). This fantastic pack of science activities is ideal for supporting teaching of the Year 3 Rocks unit in the New National Curriculum 2014. Included are seven activities: -Describe it! Students identify the rocks in the photographs and describe their appearance and texture. -Sort it! Print, laminate and cut up the cards. Students match the rocks (a) to their properties (b) and uses (c). Alternate Uk spelling option included. -Match it! Students sort the images into those that are electrical conductors and those that are electrical insulators -Use it! Students look at the photographs (slate roof tiles, marble archway, granite kitchen surface and writing chalk). They write about why the properties of each particular rock suit the purpose it is being used for in the photograph. -Investigate it! Students plan and carry out an investigation to test rock permeability. -Observe it! Students carry out a simple experiment to separate the materials in clay, loamy and sandy soil. They draw diagrams of their findings. Included are detailed, clear instructions on how to set up the activities. These cracking Christmas themed Maths activities are perfect for Years 5 and 6 during the month of December. Included are seven fabulous Christmas maths activities; Christmas Coordinates Students record the coordinates of each item on the four quadrant grid. Included in both colour or black and white. Festive Word Problems Students solve the six division and multiplication festive problems and record their answers on the response sheet. There is also a set of cards with spaces to fill in the numbers so you can tailor the questions to your class. Less Than or Greater Than Print and laminate the less than or greater than cards. Students use a dry eraser pen to mark either the greater or less than symbol in the space between the two decimal numbers. Plural or Possessive Activity Cards Help your pupils to understand the difference between plural and possessive nouns with these fantastic activity cards.
