The Challenge: Your team has been employed the National Space Agency to design and build a rocket prototype. Your task is to design, build and test a rocket that not only goes the furthest distance, but is also the most accurate at 25 yards. The furthest flying rocket will win one of the challenges and the most accurate rocket will win the other. Can you win both challenges? Here is what is in the activity: 1. In 1872 Susan B. Anthony was fined $100 for casting an illegal ballot in the presidential election. She was furious at the injustice and embarked on a speaking tour to push for female voting rights. Below is a speech she gave about the female voting rights issue. The 19th Amendment allowed women to vote in 1920. Susan B. Anthony never paid the fine. In the lesson there is a speech she gave in 1873 explaining why women should have the right to vote. The lesson also comes with follow up questions.
