The presentation takes students through each question on Section A with a detailed focus on preparing students for questions 2 and 4. The text used is the opening from ‘Therese Raquin’ by Emile Zola. Whilst this is a 19th century text it still works very well on this section of the exam in order to prepapre students in case an early 20th century text comes up on the actual exam. Model answers provided and opportunities for peer and self assessment throughout.

This would be an excellent resource to teach or revise the skills for Paper 2 Section A or to use after students have completed a mock using the 2018 paper to walk them through the strengths and weaknesses of their response.
