Debugging is an essential skill in the digital curriculum for 21st Century learners.
Debugging is the ability to identify where instructions have gone wrong and correct them - problem solving for the 21st Century learner!
This resource has 3 problem cards of basic Scratch code, each containing one error for students to ‘debug’ and fix so that the code performs the correct task.
These do not require a device or the internet to solve, but going online to check if the solution works is advantageous.

This resource is a fun hands-on activity that uses an aspect of students’ lives to engage them in the maths of binary numbers.
When I first tried it with 9 and 10 year old students I thought I’d given them something way over their heads, BUT they got it!
This resource comes with;

This resource is a fun hands-on activity that uses the binary number system to create mini pictures.
Students will devour these and be wanting more! By then they will have a beginning understanding of the binary number system.
Binary numbers are an essential part of understanding how computing works. Understanding binary numbers is not only learning within the digital curriculum and helping students become 21st Century learners, but they are also a core element of maths knowledge and learning about different counting systems.
This resource includes;

An excellent resource to check understanding of basic the fractions Half, Quarter and Third.
The resource is best used after students have been learning about and working with each of the three fractions.
This is a hands-on cut and paste activity where junior students can practice and demonstrate their understanding of these three fractions.
Included in the resource is a recording sheet and a sheet of fraction shapes to cut out.
A simple Thanksgiving themed worksheet activity for early elementary, junior students to demonstrate their understanding of the three basic geometric transformations - translation, rotation and reflection.
This could be used as a formative or summative assessment task, a follow-up lesson activity or a math center activity.
When I have used this resource, it has engaged my students and shown how well they have understood these concepts.

A worksheet for students to practice working with the rotation concept.
The idea here is rotating two shapes around a point - one shape does a half turn, the other shape does a quarter turn. There are 6 exercises on the sheet, graduating in difficulty.
Answer sheet are included.

These are worksheets with 3 opportunities each for students to practice drawing a Christmas themed picture to a different scale. There are two sheets with the second being more challenging than the first sheet. Each of the sheets also have an additional partially completed version, providing an easier option to complete the task.
Each of these worksheets have two Christmas images and the opportunity for students to draw their own design to factor up (or down).
Students will learn the need to note carefully looking at what parts of the images are in each box and transfer them correctly into the correct boxes in the blank spaces.

The resource doesn’t require a device or access to the internet. Students can cut and past the missing pieces of code into a command to achieve the desired outcome on the worksheet.
The extra challenge with this activity is that there is an extra superfluous block. The students need to decide which block is not needed to complete the code.
The resource has 2 activity sheets (2 levels of difficulty with the same task), answer sheet and teacher notes.

This is an excellent math center activity allowing your students consolidate, practice and maintain their times table knowledge.
This has been designed to allow teachers to print off and make into a booklet.
Alternatively you can print off the individual sheet(s) needed for the intended teaching and learning.
One suggestion for use is to have individual students use this as a booklet that runs over several days, with the student completing a page a day.
