Agamographs provide a fun unique way of viewing art. My students are fascinated and get so excited with this art idea. This resource is a fun hands-on Pi Day themed activity that combines two separate images into one are piece, which the viewer can then see – from different angles - each picture independently. This activity involves coloring-in, cutting, gluing and folding. You will require; coloring-in materials (pencils, felts, etc), scissors, glue-sticks. This resource has 4 Pi Day themed images ( Pi, 3.14, a piece of pie, π ), to put together and create the agamograph. This resource has all the combination pairs (6). There are two levels of challenge; the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for one Pi Day image and 4 strips for the other), suitable for younger students the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for one Pi Day image and 8 strips for the other) I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine.

Multiples - Mystery Picture Worksheets

This resource is a fun, engaging approach to working with multiples. Nothing says engagement like a mystery to solve! No doubt even older students will want to complete these sheets if they get hold of them. All students need to do is locate and colour in the multiples of the number indicated on each sheet. This resource contains 10 mystery pictures to uncover – one for each numeral 1 to 10. Each numeral sheet has a clue to the picture that will be revealed. Note: the number ‘0’ is also a multiple of each of the numbers 1-10. Designed for Grades 3 through 6. This is great as a supporting resource to multiplication facts, a math center activity (laminate and make reusable!), homework, an early finisher activity and many more uses. There are two options for printing – 1. One whole sheet per numeral, and 2. Two numerals per sheet to save on photocopying. This resource includes; Teacher notes 10 sheets, one for each numeral 1-10 5 sheets, two numerals per sheet Answer sheet

Acts of Kindness Advent Calendar

(0)
An Advent Calendar that promotes thinking of others. Instead of finding a gift for oneself behind the door of each day in this calendar behind each door is an act of kindness for the student to perform. Although it can be made in one extended session of work allow your class two or three sessions to make this a high presentation advent calendar that each student can take home and use. Students will choose a front image to cut doors into. Using the doors they then stencil the location for the acts of kindness on to a backing sheet. After writing in their acts of kindness the two sheets are glued together to form an Advent calendar. This resource includes; instructions a range of Christmas images to use a list of suggested acts of kindness.
