This is one of 4 full higher French GCSE AQA writing papers I have compiled. it has 2x 90 word, 2x150 word and a translation modelled on past and specimen papers of 6 key points/sentences. They were first made with the original spacing, but to save paper I have pulled the questions together so they can be displayed on whiteboard or printed on a single side (if the title page is omitted) , and the writing can be done in books or on paper. They can be used on VLE in revision packs, as extension or in intervention, or as cover lessons They are especially useful towards the end at the time of study leave (or no study leave)! This is one of 4 full practice papers for the Higher writing element of the GCSE French AQA exam. To save paper, it can be printed onto one sheet, (single sided, if the title page is omitted!) I have made them myself based on AQA. it is designed for the new spec and can be used for extension, revision or The overlap questions can also be used with Foundation students. The markschemes are not reproduced here as they are copy right AQA but can be found on their website. The translation question is modelled on past paper and specimen paper with 6 main points. it can be printed or put onto the white board - ideal for cover work or forgiving to pupils not on study leave. I have provided a suggested translation. Please see my other papers and the higher translation question practice.

This is one of 4 full GCSE papers self-compiled. in each one there are 2x90 word questions, 2x150 word questions and a 6-key point translation with a suggested answer. The markschemes for all can be found on the AQA website as they cannot be repro’d here for copyright reasons. I have taken out the lines so that all questions can be printed on a single sheet of A4 by omitting the title page. The papers can be used for intervention, extension, cover, work when study leave has/not started, part of revision pack, The 90 word questions can be used for Foundation candidates too. This is the 4th of 4 GCSE AQA French Higher writing papers - self compiled. They are an ideal timesaver and extension task each one has 2x 90 word questions modelled on the language used in the past/specimen papers 2 x150word questions and a translation with 6 key points/phrases. The markscheme cannot be repro’d for copyright reasons but they are the generic ones foudn on the AQA past papers. There is a sample translation answer - though this is not the markscheme. Can be used for cover, intervention, extension, individual work - topic revision, study leave booklet, VLE, The questions have been pulled together so they can be printed onto one single A4 sheet and answers done on paper. The questions can be displayed together on the board. The over lap questions can be used for foundation candidates. Please see my foudnation question papers too. The 90 word questions are different. there is a title page should you wish to reproduce it.

This resource is for higher GCSE Students - for intervention for top grade students, self study, class work, cover work or homework. The exercises can also be split and used separately or as part of a revision “pack” it is a series of translation exercises practising key grammar points in sentences which - This is really useful as the exercises drill key structures and practise them changing context and some key words. Some sentences have vocabulary for support, and extension sections to put the example in a context. Passive - variations on " I have been/was shocked when …" Tenses - Imperfect, with separate exercises on modal verbs - wanted to, could and should also comparing I am going to / I was going to Vouloir in perfect and imperfect - I have / had always wanted to … I have/ we have just … Pluperfect, with and without negatives for each theme Depuis + present Adverbs - from feminine adjectives, exceptions and some extension adverbial phrases e.g. avec soin For accuracy - this / these, that / those etc with a range of useful vocabulary from the spec. which will familiarise students with feminine noun endings and the masculine “cet” before a vowel. This resource does not teach the structures- students will need to research examples in the text book.

This is a tailor made work sheet which concentrated on 2 skills for GCSE French intermediate writing correcting errors in written work improving work to a higher standard - looking at a better 90 word answer There are 2 answers - the first one has errors and needs improving with more complexity and less repetition. The second one is a better version (though not perfect!!!) students can use the mark scheme to workout what to award each version then improve the first version - or even the second!
