No matter what systematic synthetic phonics teaching programme you follow, these resources will support and enhance your teaching and your children's learning. I've worked 16 years in KS1 and 3 years in Year 3. After spending a super last year in Year 1, I have now retired!!! But i will continue to share my resources with teachers everywhere!! Enjoy!

Phase 4 table cards for initial blends/consonant clusters; ideal for group/table work; ideal too if printed on card or laminated for year-on-year use. Children have to look at the picture, say what it is, listen to the first 'blend' and spell the word with its correct 'blend grapheme. The rest of the spelling is given, so the focus is just on the initial blend - the focus of Phase 4.
