This is a creative problem solving activity designed to help students find areas between curves and lines using integration. This purely a sketching task where students sketch the areas under two different curves in order to subtract them. They don’t need to calculate any areas. The questions are taken from the Edexcel AS textbook.

I displayed the PWP on the IWB while my students sketched the curves on mini-white boards. You can also print it out, so the students can sketch on the worksheet.
