Lesson powerpoints and resources for the AQA GCSE separate biology unit on preventing and treating disease. Suitable for a range of abilities.

The double blind trial practical requires having 2 plates of polo mints, 1 normal and 1 sugar-free. Give each student a card with either 1 or 2 on, which tells them which plate to eat a polo off. Explain to them that the technician sets up the plates so you (doctor) nor them (patient) knows which one they have taken.
