This resource is designed around the AQA English Language Paper 1 Reading section. The extract is from The Jungle Book and is designed to introduce the reading section of the exam to middle ability students in Year 10.
The lessons guide students through each of the questions, with how to approach them and answer them and what an examiner may be looking for in order to get into a Level 3 response. I have created all the model answers myself and included top tips for each question. It is designed to run across a number of lesson. It could be adapted for higher ability and also used for lower ability to push into a level 2.
