Shared Values: Celebrating the British Values (Lesson 5)

|This is a summary of the previous 3 lessons |
** This lesson is better as part of the whole module, rather than a stand-alone-lesson.**

This lesson helps students understand and celebrate the officially recognised British Values. Although these values are formally known as British Values, this scheme refers to them as Shared Values to reflect up to date guidance promoting them as principles relevant to all communities and not exclusive to Britain.

Celebration activity
A poster task where students explain and illustrate each of the five British Values using real life examples from the UK. The activity encourages creativity and helps students show their understanding in a clear and engaging

Cover worksheet
An accessible worksheet version of the main task, allowing the lesson to be taught as normal even when delivered by a cover

Return to the self assessment sheet
This lesson revisits the self assessment sheet used earlier in the unit, allowing students to reflect on their progress. This step helps them recognise what they have learned so far and supports a consistent approach to tracking progress across the full scheme. This can either be done within this lesson, or in lesson 7 if the full scheme of work is followed.

Everything is fully editable and ready to teach.
