An activity designed to develop sight reading of rhythms and ability to play to a pulse. Display the PowerPoint on the board and play the backing track. Move the PowerPoint on when the class are clapping the rhythm correctly.
Ideal for use with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 as part of a rhythm scheme of work or as a starter task at the beginning of any lesson. The rhythms get progressively more difficult in each PowerPoint. The first slide on each PowerPoint states which note values are used within the task so you can select the most appropriate one for your class.
